LONDON?? Hackers allied to the loose-knit Anonymous movement have claimed responsibility for vandalizing the website of an international prison contractor.
The GEO Group's website was defaced and replaced with a hip-hop song devoted to former death row inmate Mumia Abu Jamal.
Anonymous said Friday that the hack was "part of our ongoing efforts to dismantle the prison industrial complex."
The Boca Raton, Florida-based GEO Group provides correctional and detention services across North America, the U.K., Australia and South Africa.
The GEO Group didn't immediately return calls seeking comment.
Earlier Friday, Anonymous claimed credit for replacing the website of a Dayton, Ohio-based FBI partner group with the video for rap hit "Gangsta's Paradise."
